Activity Check ("the bot") is a Discord bot and dashboard run by a private operator to hold weekly activity checks for a server's staff team. This page explains what it stores and why.
What the bot stores
- Server ID and name, its channels, roles and member count, so they can be picked in the dashboard.
- For members with a team role: user ID, display name, avatar URL and whether they have the leave-of-absence role.
- For members with a team role: how many messages they sent this week, how many they sent in contribution channels, and how many tickets, timeouts, bans and kicks were credited to them. Only these numbers are stored, never the text of messages. For posts in contribution channels, a short one-way fingerprint is kept to recognise the same content posted again; the text can't be recovered from it.
- For each weekly check: the numbers above, the resulting ratings, the ID of the posted message and whether the member confirmed it with a reaction. The most recent 60 checks per server are kept.
- The settings chosen in the dashboard.
Members without a team role are not counted. Ticket log messages from the ticket bot are read only to find who closed a ticket; they are not stored.
Dashboard login
Signing in with Discord stores your user ID, name, avatar URL and the servers you
are in (OAuth2 scopes identify and guilds) in a signed
session cookie. This is used only to decide which servers you may open.
What we don't do
- No advertising, analytics or tracking scripts.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
Retention and your choices
- Data is kept while the bot is on the server.
- Removing the bot stops all counting.
- You can revoke dashboard access in Discord under Settings, Authorized Apps.
- To have your data deleted, contact the server's staff lead or the bot operator on Discord.
